Getting Started
Braintrust is a universal capture app. Save links, notes, and screenshots from anywhere on your phone, and everything is auto-tagged, searchable, and stored privately on your own device.
How do I capture something?From any app, tap Share and choose Braintrust, or open Braintrust and add a note or link directly. It's saved and tagged instantly.
Where is my data stored?Entirely on your device. There is no account and no cloud. Nothing you capture ever leaves your phone. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I search or filter?Use the Search tab to full-text search across everything, or filter your feed by type or tag.
How do I back up or move my data?Use the export option in Settings to save a portable copy before switching devices or uninstalling.
I deleted something / uninstalled. Can I recover it?Because data lives only on your device, deletes and uninstalls are permanent. Export first if you want a backup.
Troubleshooting
Braintrust isn't showing in my Share menu.Reboot the device after install so Android registers the share target, then try sharing again.
The app is slow or won't open.Make sure you're on the latest version from Google Play. If it persists, email us the device model and Android version.
